How to Sync Your Rank One Schedule to Gipper

Learn how to connect your Rank One schedule to Gipper AutoCreate using a free Google Calendar, so your schedule graphics build automatically.

How It Works

If your school's schedules live in Rank One, you never have to type a game into Gipper again. Rank One can hand you an iCal link, which is a live feed of your schedule. You paste that link into Gipper once, and from then on every game and event syncs into AutoCreate on its own, ready for your graphics and updated whenever your schedule changes. Setup takes just a few minutes.

 

Copy Your iCal From Rank One

You can grab one link for all sports, or a separate link for each sport and level. Start from either of these places:

  • Your school's athletics website, if it runs on Rank One.
  • Rank One's schedule directory at https://rankone.com/states?type=0 
    • Select your state, then your district, then your school to open its schedules. This is a good option if your school doesn't have its own athletics website or you're not sure where the schedule lives. 

Option 1: All Sports (one link for your whole school)

If you'd like to link all campuses in the district or all sports in the school, you'll need to have access to the admin side of the Rank One platform. 

  1. Open the All Sports calendar (sometimes called the composite schedule), Schedules > Sync Schedules.
  2. Click Subscribe to Calendar.
  3. Find the link labeled Feed URL and click Copy.

Option 2: One Sport and Level

If you don't have access to the Rank One admin account, you can still access the individual sport schedules through Rank One's directory: https://rankone.com/states?type=0 

  1. Find your School.
  2. Select a sport (for example, Football), click Schedule, then choose the level you want (for example, Varsity).
  3. Click the option to sync the schedule to your calendar.
  4. Find the iCal Feed URL and copy it.
  5. Repeat for each sport and level you want in Gipper (for example, Varsity Volleyball, JV Football).

Add the Link to Gipper

  1. In Gipper, click AutoCreate in the left sidebar, then open the Calendars tab.
  2. Click Add iCal under Personal (visible just to you) or Workspace (visible to everyone in your Workspace; Admins only).
  3. Name your calendar (for example, "All Athletics"), paste your Rank One link, and click Continue.
  4. Preview your events, then click Add events.
  5. That's it! Your Arbiter schedule now lives in AutoCreate.
