Getting Started with AutoCreate

This article introduces AutoCreate, the area of Gipper where your synced schedules live, and shows you how to browse and filter your events.

What is AutoCreate?

AutoCreate connects your existing schedules to Gipper. Instead of typing event details into every graphic, you sync your schedule once with an iCal link, and Gipper imports your games and events automatically, keeping them up to date as your schedule changes.

Open AutoCreate

1. Log in to Gipper.
2. In the left sidebar, look under the Create section.
3. Click AutoCreate.

AutoCreate has two tabs: 

1. Events - where your synced events appear
2. Calendars - where you connect and manage your iCal feeds

The Events Tab

The Events tab displays every synced event in a timeline, grouped by date. Within each day, events are listed in time order, with any events that don't have a time shown at the top of the day.

Each event shows:

• Event title
• Date
• Start time
• Location

If your calendar feed doesn't include one of these details for an event (for example, a game without a location yet), that field is left blank. All-day events display without a start time, and events that span multiple days appear on each day they take place.

Filter Your Events

Two filters at the top of the timeline help you find what you need:

1. Upcoming vs. Past. By default you see Upcoming Events in chronological order. Switch to Past Events to see completed events, most recent first.
2. Calendar filter. The dropdown to the left lets you narrow the timeline to a single calendar. By default, events from all of your calendars (both Workspace and personal) are shown together.

Gipper remembers your calendar filter, so the next time you open AutoCreate, you'll pick up right where you left off.

If a calendar in the dropdown shows an error icon, something went wrong with its sync. Hover over it for details, and see our article on [Managing Your AutoCreate Calendars] for how to fix it.
 

The Calendars Tab

The Calendars tab is where you connect new iCal feeds, refresh them, and remove ones you no longer need. It lists your calendars in two sections: Workspace (visible to everyone in your Workspace) and Personal (visible only to you).

Creating Graphics from Your Events

You can create Gamedays, Daily Schedules and Weekly Schedules.
 

Gamedays

1. Select the event by clicking "Gameday" in the row of the event you'd create the graphic for.
2. A new tab will open with the graphics editor
3. The graphic will update automatically with your brand and the event data
4. You can make any edits or changes that you'd like
5. Once it looks good, save the graphic to reuse
6. Then, download or publish

Daily Schedules

1. Click "Daily schedule"
2. Select the date
3. Select the events you'd like to include
4. A new tab will open with the graphics editor
5. The graphic will update automatically with your brand and the event data
6. You can make any edits or changes that you'd like
7. Once it looks good, save the graphic to reuse
8. Then, download or publish

Weekly Schedules

1. Click "Weekly schedule"
2. Select the week
3. Select the events you'd like to include
4. A new tab will open with the graphics editor
5. The graphic will update automatically with your brand and the event data
6. You can make any edits or changes that you'd like
7. Once it looks good, save the graphic to reuse
8. Then, download or publish
