Gipper Touch: Building Out Your Directories

This article provides a step-by-step guide for setting up and customizing directories within your Gipper Touch site.

Navigating to your directories

Once your homepage is set up and ready, navigate to the All Pages section:

  1. All Pages provides a high-level outline of all pages and directories in your site.
  2. Click on All Directories to access a directory page with pre-built example options for a jumping-off point.
  3. Use the drop-down icon next to All Directories to see the existing directory pages

Gipper Tip!

  • The existing directories are included to give you a sense of how your site can look once it’s fully built out. They’re all completely customizable—you can edit them to fit your needs or delete them entirely if you’d prefer to start from scratch.

 

Editing existing directories

You can customize any pre-existing directory:

  1. Click on the directory card directly on the canvas.
  2. On the left-hand editor, you can update:
    • Directory Name
    • Directory Image: Select from saved designs, upload from your computer, or choose from your gallery.
    • Aesthetic Properties: Adjust display, fill/contain settings, image alignment, background color, and gradient overlay on the directory card.

  3. Preview text color can also be updated to apply to the entire directory.

     

To delete a directory:

  • Click the three dots next to the directory name and select Delete Directory.
  • Important: Deleting a directory cannot be undone, so confirm before proceeding.

 

Adding new directories

To create a new directory:

  1. Make sure the "All Directories" page is selected
  2. Click Add New Directory 
  3. New directories are fully customizable and can be tailored to your school’s specific needs.
  4. You can add as many directories as desired.

 

Organizing directories

  1. View the list of directories in the editor.
  2. Reorganize by clicking the three dots next to the directory you want to move.
  3. Use the trash can icon to delete directories (again, deletion is permanent).
     

Editing the site navigation bar

You can also customize your directory navigation bar:

  • Click directly on the nav bar in the editor.
  • Update background color, icon color, background opacity or blur.
  • Add a mobile QR code to your directory.
