X/Twitter is deprecating its V1 media posting API, requiring all third-party platforms, including Gipper's, to migrate to their V2 API on Wednesday, 3/26/2025. Unfortunately, the V2 API currently has known issues that may impact your ability to publish videos through our platform.
What’s Changing?
- All X/Twitter media uploads must now use the V2 API as X/Twitter is fully sunsetting the V1 API.
- There are ongoing issues with V2 that we’ve identified in testing, including:
-
Videos are not published reliably. Some videos post successfully, while others fail without a clear pattern.
-
Videos are not published reliably. Some videos post successfully, while others fail without a clear pattern.
What This Means for You
- If you schedule or publish a video to X/Twitter, it may not post successfully.
- This includes standard video attachments, video graphics, and motion graphics.
- There is no fix from X/Twitter yet. We will continue monitoring updates, but as of now, these issues persist.
What You Can Do
- For all types of video posts: For now, we recommend downloading your video and posting directly through X/Twitter on the day of publication.
- For general posts: If your content does not include videos, your publishing should remain unaffected.
