Connecting to a network with advanced authentication requirements
Some school or district networks require additional authentication or security settings beyond a standard WiFi network name and password. This may include WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise authentication, 802.1X authentication, certificates, or other network-specific requirements.
If you are unsure what your network requires, contact your IT department and ask for the standard WiFi configuration used to connect an unattended device, such as a digital signage player, printer, or IoT device.
Depending on your network, additional configuration may include:
- WPA2/WPA3 Enterprise or 802.1X authentication
- A username or identity and password
- CA or other required certificates
- Device or MAC address registration
- Other network-specific authentication or security requirements
These advanced settings cannot currently be configured directly through the WiFi settings in Gipper. If your network requires any of these configurations, please email support@gogipper.com.
