Motion templates

The Gipper platform includes a set of templates, called “Motion Templates,” that have motion functionality. Motion templates include a preset animation that causes elements to move around once published or downloaded.

NOTE: Motion templates don't have to be used with the animation. They can also be published or downloaded as a static graphic.

Identifying motion templates

You can find motion templates by opening the Graphics dashboard and:

1. Scrolling to the filters
2. Selecting "Format"
3. Checking the bubble next to "Motion"
4. Clicking Apply

Editing and previewing motion templates

Editing a motion template is the exact same process as editing a static or video template. You can find more details on the general editing experience here.

You can preview the animation by clicking the "Play Animation" button in the top toolbar. 

Publishing and downloading motion templates

To publish a motion template:

1. Make sure you save your work by clicking the "Save" button in the upper right corner
2. Click "Publish" and select whether you want to publish this as a static image or as an animation
3. If animation, wait for the video to be created-- do not leave the page or open a new tab!
4. Add a caption and publish or schedule the motion template as needed.

To download a motion template:

1. Make sure you save your work by clicking the "Save" button in the upper right corner
2. Click "Download" in the upper right corner
3. Select whether you would like to download this as a static image (PNG or JPEG) or as an animation (MP4 video)
4. If animation, wait for the video to be created-- do not leave the page or open a new tab!
5. Select the video from your browser's download section.
