Posts

Posts (formerly Content Planner) is a social media management tool within Gipper. From the Posts tab, you can manage upcoming posts and see previously published posts. You can also create a post for X, Facebook (in-feed), Instagram (in-feed), Facebook Stories, and Instagram Stories.

Accessing Posts

• Navigate to Posts: Click on the “Posts” tab in the left-side navigation bar.
• View Published Posts: Posts opens on the Published tab, which shows all your previously published posts. Click any post to see a preview.
• View Upcoming Posts: Click the Upcoming tab to see all your scheduled posts.
• Filter Posts: Use the Channel and Date filters on either tab to find a specific post.
• Create a Post: Publish a text-based post, photo, video, or graphic (or up to 4 attachments). 

Managing Scheduled Posts

• Edit Scheduled Posts:
  • Click the three-dot menu button on the post you want to edit, then select “Edit.”
  • You can edit the date, time, selected accounts, and captions.
  • Add additional images if you haven’t reached the limit of four.
  • Update the text and save changes.
• Preview Scheduled Posts:
  • Click the post to see how it will look.
• Delete Scheduled Posts:
  • Click the three-dot menu button on the post you’d like to cancel.
  • Select “Delete” to cancel the post. This action stops the post from being published.

Create a Post

• Create a Post:
  • Click the “Create Post” button in the top right corner. The composer opens right away.
  • In the "Post to" dropdown, select the social media accounts you want to post to. Need to connect an account? Click Connect an account in the same dropdown, and you'll land back in your draft with your caption still there.
• Compose the Post:
  • For a plain text post, simply type in your caption.
  • If you select more than one platform, the caption you type on the All tab goes to every platform. To change it for one platform, click that platform's tab and edit it there (the All tab locks, and you can click Reset to go back to one shared caption). X captions are limited to 280 characters.
  • Post to a Story: when only Instagram or only Facebook is selected, you'll see a Post/Story toggle. Switch it to Story to post to your Instagram Story or Facebook Story.
  • You can publish the post immediately or schedule it for a later date.
• Add Media to Your Post:
  • Add up to four images or graphics by browsing your gallery, uploading media from your device, or selecting a saved design from Designs.
  • Add a video of up to 60 seconds from your gallery or device. Note that videos cannot be combined with other files due to social media API limitations.
  • Optionally, add alt text to your images: hover over an image and click ALT. Each image has its own alt text.
• Schedule or Publish the Post:
  • After composing your post, you can choose to publish it immediately or schedule it for a later date and time.
  • Scheduled posts will appear in the Upcoming tab until they are published, at which point they move to the Published tab.
