Overview
Gipper's platform may not be fully accessible through Google Chrome from school-monitored devices running GoGuardian software unless you reach out to them (Gipper is always available on any device or browser when not restricted by the GoGuardian extension).
Our Product team has confirmed that when Gipper is accessed through Chrome on any school-monitored device running the GoGuardian extension, it is likely to stall or crash due to GoGuardian's network restrictions.
Since April 2022, we have investigated every method available to resolve this issue internally. However, GoGuardian has replied that they cannot take action unless the user reaches out to them personally.
Confirming if you're running the GoGuardian extension
You can confirm that a device is running the GoGuardian extension by viewing the extensions in Chrome.
- In Chrome, click the menu button (three-dot icon at the top-right corner)
- Hover over "Extensions"
- Select "Manage Extensions"
Communicating with GoGuardian
If you are running the GoGuardian extension and it's preventing access to the platform you can have your IT department connect with GoGuardian's support team! They just needs to reach out to GoGuardian with a quick explanation of the context.
